Maybe a commute won't be so bad for a little while...
Ya know, the best part of working from a home office is the commute. And the dress code. Frankly, "business casual" takes on a whole new dimension when you work from your bedroom.
The worst part? The gutting of the house directly behind mine. Who needs an alarm when you have a concrete cutter or a sledgehammer or circular saw or ridiculously loud tejano music EVERY morning at 7:30 AM. Make that a friggin' JACKHAMMER this morning. Grumble.

And I was all proud of myself because I interviewed for my current job in my underwear (early-morning, cross-country phone call). I need to follow your path and work naked every day. Revolution! Raaar!

I've done most of my work from the home office for two years and can't imagine doing anything else. For years I'd thought wearing shoes every day was horrible; now I get pissed when I have to put on pants. Gotta love the dress code.

Yea, welcome to *my* world. Last year, the condo went through leaky-condo renos, and there were several times when the stupid construction workers got an EYEFUL of my work-at-home-attire. I learned to close my blinds after a while, which is the worst when you are working from home.
Otherwise, yes, I like the freedom of working from home, or going into the office as I see fit... Nice to fire yourself on occasion as well.

I lve in an apt, so I understand all too well. I hate when someone moves out or in. As for the working from home....well, as a stay-at-home mom, I love not having to dress up every day. Some days, I forget to even get out of my nightgown. Unfortunately I do have to get at least that dressed every morning. My little bosses demand that much. On second thought though, I think my bosses (1 year old twins) are as noisy as the construction!
