Not this shit again.

Dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit. More blog pirates. Roxy77 , I believe these posts (at least) belong to me. And I believe the rest of your site belongs to the illustrious Sarah Brown . Now I am asking YOU nicely as well. Cease and desist. She may be above taking this public. But I am most certainly not. You can screw with me, but don't you dare screw with her.

Abuse@xanga.com. Let them know. And let "her" know too while you are at it.

BTW: I wonder if with all this piracy at Xanga there is grounds for a class action suit. I'm just sayin...

Comments

Your blog entries must be the hottest shit on the net...they're being grabbed up like DVD players in a Wal-Mart stampede!

Sigh. I can't believe that it could possibly take less effort to seek out someone else's posts (find, copy, paste, etc) than to just create original content.

And, yes, most of the entries on the first page smacked of Sarah B.

Here we go again... Dear Xanga Administrator...

Those were undeniably Sarah's posts. The "select cities" post just screamed out at me. >:(

I'm beginning to wonder if Xanga isn't just a front for spammers, and that the Xanga people themselves are building fake blogs so they have something to show potential customers. Plus, when's the last time you had to register to leave a comment at a blog? Underhanded way to get someone's email address?

The whole thing is fishy...

Interestingly, Roxy77 has comments posted by UniX_03 (aka Dave). One would think Dave would recognize his own work, but then again, I like conspiracy theories...

well, roxy's email is disabled, so there is no real way to get a hold of "her."

maybe xanga will shut her down.

i have asked dave to contact her if he knows her personally. this could still be all part of what happened with me (stolen comments and all that jazz), but despite what happened, i'll still give dave benefit of the doubt.

I, too, was wondering about what Average Joe mentioned.

These sites could be automatically grabbing content to create google-indexed pages --Having less to do with ID theft than evil Search Engine manipulation. But I have no idea. Sucks either way. :(

Do you have to be the biggest loser in the world to make a site out of other peoples stuff? If you have nothing to say on you own I think you should keep your mouth shut.

The worst part was seeing that she even stole at least one of Sarah's IM conversation posts. Unbelievable! Oddly, she replaced the other participant with the Dave guy, and included a link to him.

Maybe Roxy is Dave...? Just a thought. Yuck.

What *is* it with Xanga? There's got to be more to this than meets the eye. I find it hard to believe that two blogs on Xanga both stole work from the same two bloggers (you & Sara) by sheer coincidence. I wouldn't be surprised if this were the work of a robot, like Styn suggested.

Regardless, it sucks. I think the offenders should be hung upside down by their toes and pummeled into unconsciousness with an organic carrot.

Thank you for all your help, Jimbo. I was so mad when I found this I could have spat nails.

Aside from her stealing all my posts, including IM conversations, the weird thing was that Dave commented encouraginglu to one of her stolen posts about being nervous about moving to New York, EVEN THOUGH HE KNEW SHE WAS LYING. I feel like someone has been playing dress-up with my life. Trust me, it's not that much fun.

roxy appears to have pulled all her posts.

roxy, thank you for doing the right thing. i hope you can find your own voice as well.

aawwwwwww... the, "you can screw with me, but don't you dare screw with her" thing is really, really sweet.
Jimbo for president!

HOLY CRAP!

Your writing is being stolen too?!?!?

What a bunch of crap. Go get 'em Jimbo.

I cannot imagine how frustrated you must be!
