The dirt gets deeper.
I'm not alone in getting plagiarized. And not everyone is as good about fessing up as Dave. This really disgusts me. Julia , you have my total support. Any good lawyers want to take a crack at this issue?

OK, now I'm feeling left out. When do I get plagairized?

Did you See Wil Wheatons post abut RetroCRUSH? Some rag in the UK (the Daily Star) stole a story from RetroCRUSH. Said, if its on the internet its up for grabs. Robert Berry, the writer behind the site called them on it and they blew him off. Wil was asking if anyone knew a lawyer who handled this stuff and last I checked, no one responded. Any hungry attorney's?

thanks so much for posting this, and for your support.
i am officially looking for any legal assistance i can round up. my attorney hasn't done much in the way of copyright work before, so i could use some help from someone who knows the field at least a little.

Have you captured some screenshots? Because the 'evidence' (i.e. blog entries) can disappear fast.

christ, this is crazy. i've wandered over here after i caught wind of it from the xanga side of the fiasco. unfortunately i got in too late to read anything but the 'twas the night before christmas' poem, but i still can't help but have a chuckle whenever i see a comment from your friend dave.
i don't know the people, but i would think all they were looking for was a few chuckles from friends. Everyone steals a story or a joke now and then in real life-- these folks went overboard and built a complete identity from stolen pieces of other people's personae.
Does it really detract from what you've written though? You've found them, they're going to stop, and most likely they've lost most of the 'friends' they've garnered using your wit.
So sorry about the spam comment, but I'm not really getting work done at work today so thought i'd try to throw a thimbleful of water on the fire. Cheers, and keep up the good work.
(unmute's "i cry moral bankruptcy on this scalawag!" comment rocked my world, by the way)

Okay, so I'm gonna ask a dumb question: How did you figure out that someone was plagiarizing you? How did you find these sites? Was it from referral logs, or...
Now I'm getting paranoid!
