A post that didn't mention Tassy, porn, or masturbation. Novel!

So I finally have some pictures of Alexandra, the new bundle of poop and tears that shares my last name. Yeah, I know she still looks like Mr. Magoo in a beanie, but she has some good genes, I promise (both her mother and her father are gorgeous). Besides, her sister makes me smile uncontrollably every time I see her so really, I think she'll turn out ok.

Despite the aggravation inherent in living near a large Italian family that includes, well, people from my family, I do wish they lived a little closer to me. I only get to see the nieces and nephew once or twice a year, and I swear they grow a full meter between visits. Hell, I have seen my climbing partner's kids twice a month or more since they were born, and I think THEY grow at least half a meter between visits. I really don't know what kind of hormones they put into those Happy Meals, but at this rate I'm fairly certain I don't need to worry about my retirement as I have a full roster of future professional basketball players coming up to support me and my inevitable Vicodin and stripper habit in my old age.

I would move closer to them, but as no one in my family has any real interest in ever leaving Dallas, and since life in Dallas is just slightly less painful than a root canal performed with a rusty Black and Decker, the odds of me spending any real amount of time with them seems terribly unlikely. It just sucks knowing that you are bound to be the weird and eccentric uncle who pops in at Christmas and then disappears by New Years. I suppose I can always just buy their love. I hear that works well. I better start saving now.

Ever notice how people who have moved to the coast never qualify their negative comments about the Midwest? It's never "life in Dallas FOR ME is painful" just "life is Dallas is painful." As if that's some universal truth, but only the coast-dwellers got the memo...

Anyways, cute kids. The older sister has the biggest eyes I've ever seen! :)

Actually, kinda refreshing! ;)
Beautiful family Uncle Jimbo. Congrats again.

OBTW~With kids far away, the love buying does work well. Just sayin.

What cuties!!! And, I just have to say, I personally think there are at least 2 good things in Dallas......my twins!!!!! (Not that I am proud or biased or anything.)

Jimbo- all your readers so far apparently are from the Big D- Myself included. Those of us that live in any part of Texas LOVE Texas, perhaps we're backward, or country, but you can't beat Dallas when it comes to cold Beer, hot women, great restaurants, and sports entertainment. We have the Cowboys, the Rangers, the Stars, AND the MAV's- so what's not to love?

And apparently we have the cute part of your family, so give in- move to Dallas, you can trade in your hiking gear, buy a new mountain bike, a ski boat, and a season pass to the Dallas Stars and you'll be loving life in no time.

I hate, HATE Dallas. I hate pro sports. I hate flat land. I hate the lack of forests. I hate the accent. I hate closed minded Baptist living. I hate mosquitoes. I hate chain restaurants and suburban living. I hate beef. I hate a lack of good vegetarian food. I hate the fucking Cowboys. I hate country music. I hate George Bush. I hate conservative Christian politics. I hate the lack of bike trails. I hate towns with no rocks to climb. And I hate Bud Light!

But I do love the girls.

Still want me to move to Dallas?

I love newborns. Especially when they aren't mine.

Dude. You so have "Daddy" tattoed across your forehead.

Yep, nothing will get a neices love like a fairy dress sent in the mail.
Hold off on the newborns till they are old enough to remember though.......
I'm a cheap bastard.

Ok...So their my kids....cool. I live in HAWAII not DALLAS. If it were up to me, I'd stay and surf every damn day until I die, but most likley I will end up back in D town with.....

Civilization, no POI, no hula, no island way of living, no surf, no sand, very hot ass sun, humidity, bad traffic, lots of land to drive really fast and on a motorcyle, and finnally.....MY FAMILY.....HAVE FUN.

OH...AND SPELL CHECK WAS OFF. HA.

aw! I get to have one of those in just a few weeks. ahhhhh!

your brother's comment reminds me why i'm happy to be kidless, relationshipless, and not committed to a goddamn thing. that being said, congrats to him :P

the second and third pics are just priceless!
