ah, paying attention is for pussies.
(actually this whole shot is nothing but dumb luck. i didn't even know he was going to take it. he was following me as he had no idea where he was going, but on this particular onramp, he zoomed up next to me, i looked over for maybe a half second to figure out what the hell he was doing, and apparently, he snapped the picture. that it was composed, metered, and focused so well still surprises me. frankly, i was a lot more worried about him taking pictures while driving my pathfinder than me riding the bike.)

i totally have ducati envy too. they are so sexy. i may trade up for one next year. but everything i have read seems to indicate that the rice burners are just better bikes. and way, way cheaper to maintain. almost everyone i know who is serious about racing or riding rides japanese.

Careful on Angeles Crest, lots of people go down there. I don't even ride it anymore, too many ghosts...
On the other hand, I HIGHLY recomend GMR for twisty fun.
My cousin has a Duc, and I have the whole Ducati penis envy thing going on too. But I can totally spank him on the track, so it all evens out. Even if he is living with a beautiful woman with much strategically-placed silicone and I am not.
