I recently had a discussion with my son's daycare provider. Two boys were calling him "gay" in the boys' bathroom. I was furious that these little fuckers weren't taught how to (a) be nice and (b) respect others. That same week they taught my son the word "faggot." I just freaking lost it. My poor son didn't even know what it meant. I told him and he cried. Some people can be so fucking clueless. (alright, I'm done venting now, thanks)

I'm one of Joe's and Jes's friends down here, just wanted to send my thanks to you. Without your hard work of putting up this site I don't think alot of the stuff were now doing down here at school could of been started. With your website we have started getting the word out in this small piece of shit town about what happened. We have gone to the school newspaper here, the county newspaper, and to alot of key faculty members on campus here. It is really good to hear that Joe will not have to drive around with that on his car. But at the moment I still don't think we are done, I personally want to see this guy get some jail time for what he has done and to stop any future acts of hate down here that may occur. The only way I can think of doing that is by telling people what happened. So thank you again I've never talked to you before but in my eyes you are a good friend.

Ugh. I will never understand this. I've tried--really, I have. I've even talked to people who are homophobic at length trying to figure it out. My conclusion has always been that I have a life of my own and they don't, so they have to invade someone else's. People who take it this far, cowards that they are, go beyond something I can't understand to something I think should be wiped out of the gene pool.
