Really Orange County.
So, yeah, I know I should have been working, but the fog rolled in early last night, and combined with the amber lighting of Newport it turned the sky orange. Since my roommate was blocking my garage and I was too lazy to move it in order to go work out (I can already feel the fatty deposits forming on my hips), I decided to run around the street with my camera, taking pictures of all my neighbor's houses. That I wasn't picked up for peeping is a miracle.
I loved the results. The joy that a tripod can bring. Oh yes. You can now call me, "Tripod Man." And please do. I could use the ego stroking.
Sigh.
The lengths I'll go for a lame joke.

"if 300 days of near perfect weather and easy access to "Wahoos" justifies the selling of a soul. Or two."
That first shot, with the big, big boats, and the ramp, and the gratuitous palm tree.
My god.
I guess sometimes it's overwhelming, what one can get in exchange for a li'l ol soul or two!

Here, the mansion by the sea, the grand banks cruiser and three fancy cars don't cost as much as they would in most other parts of the world (welcome to perth, western australia) if you're part of that set that has comfortable after-tax salary.
I too "live in place where every day you can look out your window and see something beautiful. I live in that rarest of settings where urban life and the great outdoors coincide. Where the city and the small town meet and miraculously combine."
And it's absolutely obscene what people consider "reasonable". It is; too easy to imagine oneself in their shoes.
And i am always amazed at how unbitter i am that i don't have what they have, because we watch the same sunset. This, coming from someone who is too used to material jealousy.
I guess, being able to really breathe makes all that much of a difference.
