Dear Internet,
Working lots lately. Lots of stress. Don't expect too much around these parts. I'm considering a temporary hiatus. No muse, no point, right? Don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm considering. Regardless of the end result, the point is, we won't have a lot of posting.
In the meantime, I still take lots of pics. Enjoy. Email me if you want updates.
In other news, my dog is licking the wall. I have no idea why. And it's my sister's birthday. She's OOOOLD. I love her. It's 9:19 PM and I'm going back to work.
Ciao for now.

Oh no, Jimbo!? Really? Don't step away!
I don't have a muse, but hell, I still have tons to share!
Besides, doesn't a photo say enough? Post photos of what you are thinking about for a while!
Happy 2008!

welcome to my world. Now after you get off work, go to a shack in the middle of the desert and then start your school work and reading then if you're luck enough to have time to take a shower, do so and then go to bed. Repeat daily.

we all saw this day coming, jimbo - it was just a matter of time until you vocalized it. with light traffic, dwindling comments, and lack-luster content, this vehicle is without question in need of an overhaul. this can happen. and it can happen quickly.
hear me out. your site has never been more popular than it was during the last presidential election. 2008, oddly enough, has a presidential election to offer us. i think we can leverage this event one more time to propel dc.com to once un-thought-of heights... how, you ask?
i have many ideas, but one in particular that is sure to do the trick... please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss the restoration of this once mildly amusing electronic sounding board.
gracias

I advocate the idea of you trying to express whatever you would have written in a photo. Don't post a photo because it is artistic or visually appealling - post one that says how you feel. Some of yours communicate that well, like this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/themightyjimbo/140724537/in/set-72057594117628882/
but it does not have to be a face - images connotate a lot. Pick one of the many you have or better yet take one that comments on society, yourself or whatever without any words, or at most a title. I challenge you - don't just take beautiful images (which you are getting pretty good at!)... great photographers communicate an entire story in an image. So don't go to Iraq, but here is a famous one that summarizes a lot of national feelings:

I'm sure you have a endless number of targets in Newport that can tell stories of greed, sloth, simple joy, peace, oppression, or whatever you wish.
