In LA, it takes more time to drive 26 miles.
Kenny ran his first marathon this weekend. And he qualified for Boston. 3:09:36 was the final tally. Shit. That's fast. And with only three months of training too.
My family is very, very proud of him.
I think he's nuts. My knees hurt just walking around the course to get shots of his run.
Enjoy them while you got them.
And for Boston, the goal is 2:45!

He did great. I don't want to drive 26.2 miles, let alone run it.

I'm new: who's kenny?

The bastard. I figured it'd just be easier to wait until I'm 50 than to try and qualify now.

That's awesome! Congratulations for him - and you were in town and didn't say anything. That's ok. You wouldn't know me if you saw me anyway. But good on Kenny.

Way to go Kenny; a BQ is such a rare thing, especially in a first marathon! All things going well, I'll be doing my first marathon in May. My goal is just to finish.

Thanks. I think the worst thing about running a marathon (Yes besides the bloody toes, pains in every place in your body including very unique places that you thought could never hurt, and the constant sore muscles) yest the worst thing is the two weeks of off training before the marathon and the who knows how long it takes to heal after ward.
But I don't listen. I just did a 5K on Saturday. 5th place overall. :P
BTW thanks again for the photos Jim. And did I spell "worst" wrong?
