Treasures
My grandfather (father's side) gave this to me when I was about four years old. It's a Native American spear head he had found on his property in Norwalk back fifty or sixty years ago. How long it had been sitting there before that I have no idea. Fifty years? 150? 650 years? Who knows.
I've been trying to find a better way to present it than keeping it in a bag in a drawer in a dresser for a couple or three decades.
Suggestions?

Try a shadowbox frame that you can hang on the wall.

A display box(check Michael's). You can put an interesting background - such as a grass mat behind the arrow head.

Hey Jim, Those are very popular around here. Along with pestal bowls and thumping rocks of some sort. Anyway, a friend of mine has a collection and its framed. Pretty neat.

SHADOWBOX IT! (Have it mounted in a deeper frame but don't use any glue. Glue may destroy monetary value (if it has any) plus no way to know how the glue would react to the stone.

(I'm retarded. I tried to comment before but don't know if it worked so if you see two from me, ignore one of them). Back to what I was trying to say...
Shadowbox it. Have it mounted in a deeper frame and hang it up for display or put it on your desk. Just don't let anyone use glue. No way to know how it could react with the stone. Email me if you're interested in help with that.

Perhaps you could go to Pottery Barn (or one of those kind of stores) and get one of those frames that is deeper than the normal frame. They're made for framing objects and collections. Of course, this would mean you'd have to glue a bit of velcro to the back of the arrow.
Or you could go to a frame shop and have it custom framed. They probably use archival techniques so as not to harm the object that is being mounted.

Perhaps getting it framed in a shadowbox, it would be a great way to display a fond memory

Wow,its in perfect condition. You don't find them much anymore but when I was a kid we found them all the time. Mount it in a shadow box & hang it on your wall.

Why a shadowbox of course! Any picture framer would love to get ahold of that to frame. Or DIY with a frame from a craft store. You could tie it in place with leather strips...

maybe a shadow box with a huge matting. most shadowboxes look tacky to me.
it's also been suggested i put it in a bowl with some sand. an idea i dig.

Here's a thought: gather up some shells and rocks from the beach, and some sand, then put them all together in a bowl. People will probably quiz you on finding an arrow head at the beach! (I don't know if the beaches where you live are like up here in Playa del Rey, but when there's a big storm, often in the winter, we get lots of rocks and shells.)

Affix it to the end of an arrow shaft and shoot it into your drywall.

I agree with the shadowbox faction. Especially if you have more than one arrowhead, they'd look fabulous in a decent shadowbox. Most framing galleries can do it.
