I'm coffee shop famous!
Alta Coffee is one of those places I've been visiting for so long that I totally take it for granted. I have within twelve blocks of my house a top-notch, independent coffee house complete with tattooed artsy types, designer, organic brews, wacky musicians, billionaire patrons, and really, really good breakfast burritos.
And as of yesterday, they also have my art.
Oh, that sounds too pretentious, even for me. They have my PHOTOGRAPHS. I don't create stuff, I just capture stuff. I've got thirty prints hanging there. And good ones too! All framed and fancy and ready to be purchased by some of those billionaires. Tina, their manager and one of the nicest people on this peninsula, saw my stuff about a year ago and got me a slot on their very popular calendar. I'm on the walls at Alta until at least July.
As these people have been spectacularly good to me, I'd love it for everyone to be good to them. Come in! Take a look at my stuff (even if you have seen it a million and a half times on Flickr). I promise, not a single shot of Josh, but if you let me know when you are heading down to visit, I'll BRING the dog.
Prints prices are $50 to $150 depending on the frame and the size. Normally I sell unsigned, unframed prints at these prices, but as I'm trying desperately to recoup my framing costs, I've got them marked to move. Have a blank wall that is just hankering for an big print of an iceberg? I know where you can get one and cheap! Admit it. You have a room that's all white and boring or sporting that same pastel framed Nagel you got in high school. It's totally time to upgrade.
But even if you don't buy a print, buy a coffee or some lunch. You'll even have something good to look at while you pick up on that moody chick with the black t shirt and the tattoo.
If you are curious which particular prints are framed and for sale, I've put them in a set here . You can even buy them direct from me. If you don't want a framed pic, virtually all my prints are for sale. Just email me for prices and send me the link for which one you want. I'm easy that way.

Nice work! Congratulations on the showing. And my wife's birthday is just around the corner too....
If you show a picture of you taking a picture then you could hang that picture on the wall and take a picture of that picture in the show. In the next show, take a picture of that picture. If you do that every time you have a showing, you'll soon have a picture of a picture of a picture of you taking a picture in every showing you do. Which will give you a rather organic picture that is the picture of your progress as a photographer.
I have no idea what you would name such a thing, but it would be a very interesting shot to reflect upon later in life.
