Judgment.
Why do cocktails taste so much better in San Francisco? I think maybe it's because an expense account is paying for them but that's beside the point.
What's really dangerous, however, is when those cocktails are served at Bourbon and Branch . And they taste SO good that, of course you will absolutely have another. And since you aren't driving, why not have another one (or six) for the road? And then walking back to your hotel on the top of knob hill seems like a great idea.
Lots of bad ideas seem fantastic when I'm in San Francisco.
Thankfully, the alarm on my Blackberry was right on time this morning to disagree with my judgment. My alarm clock disagrees with me frequently, I've noticed. My alarm clock must be a Republican.
Anyhow, I'm home now and my bed is screaming my name. I swear, if it weren't for Starbucks, I'd have never made it through the day.
I'm never drinking again. Ever. At least not until I'm back in San Francisco.
Next week.
