Tripod man.
So two weeks ago I finally sucked it up and invested in a reasonable tripod and ball for the increasingly expensive collection of camera crapola that's taking years off of my retirement.
Someone asked me WHY I would spend $300 bucks on a tripod. Why?

And these aren't so bad either.
Maybe the magic Flickr fairy will put me on "Explore" again. Then, MONEY WELL SPENT.

i know this is sappy, but if you consider the absolute joy you bring to others with your photography, then maybe that is also payment. i know...sappy and lame, but i really love the pics and thank you heartily for sharing them!
