Where I should spend the rest of winter.

So what to report...what to report...

Work has been crazy busy. Josh remains extremely particular about the precise location of his poop. I am in the process of replacing all my living room furniture. I don't think I could survive Christmas season without Amazon.com. What else...what else....

Oh. Yeah. Mammoth got six feet of snow in less than a week.

Did I mention it snowed this weekend?

Three or four feet of it from the time I arrived on Friday to when I unbuckled my bindings on Sunday afternoon. It was positively puking snow. Every run, every day, covered in a layer of the lovely white stuff. Let's put it this way, this is what fell overnight for our drive up to Main Lodge on Sunday morning:

We didn't bother digging out.

And this is a pretty good net net for the weekend, and that's just what fell in town, not on the top:

Net net.

This is an el Nino year, and I'm more than ready for it. Season pass. 4WD. And a wireless card in the laptop. Just in case another blizzard "forces" me to stay for a bluebird Monday.

Or Tuesday.

Awesome. It was dumping in parts of Colorado this weekend as well - including Crested Butte, where I happened to be. Though it was absolutely dumping there on Sunday, it was accompanied by high wind so there were whiteout conditions on the mountain. Still fun, of course. (Not so much the drive home, though.)

i wish i skied.

LOVED that Giro helmet you let me borrow, thanks! You the man Jimbo.
